Job Description: Working within AKTC team of national and International staff members and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager the Chief Scheduler/Planer will have the following specific responsibilities. Assist in the definition of the project development of Work Breakdown Structure as the basis of all project control system/tools and centralized code structure. Define the project controls approach, setting forth recommendations, which will include project control systems and tools, procedures, reports and assignment of responsibility. Tracks the status of critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project. Monitors program milestones and interdependencies. Analyzes project planning and schedule updates. Analyzes delays using industry accepted methodologies. Provides “alerts” on items impacting the project schedule. Identifies the critical path and suggests alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule. Knowledge of construction means, methods, sequences, crew sizes, productivity rates, manpower analysis, cash flow and CPM scheduling on various types of buildings. Develop and continuously revise preliminary master schedules and proposal for activities detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure schedule is realistic and competitive Provide hands-on construction expertise to monitor development and coordination of all work plans Work with Project Management Team in developing and managing schedule, change management and forecasting aspects of the project timeline. Support overall project schedule and provide analysis of comparison to the original planned start and finish dates. Responsible for understanding the complete scope of work, execution plan and the project estimate, including sub contractor's work. Provide recommendations for schedule recovery and mitigate schedule impacts with the project team and suggest corrective actions and develop recovery plans over potential delays Analyse schedules for any anomalies, fluctuations, unusual occurrences or other execution concerns that could impact the projects expected finish. Incorporate resource and cost loading data into schedules as required Maintain master schedule for each phase of multiple project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule. Evaluate construction progress and provide regular schedule updates Scheduling internal and external resources, managing contracts, monitoring costs, report financial aspects and follow schedules for project task completion. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly progress reports and project summaries. Evaluate progress vs. schedule and "critical path". Thoroughly understands the scope of work, drawings, specifications and performs mathematical calculations to determine workflow, tools, and resource (labor, material and equipment) requirements.
