Job Description: Duties & Responsibilities: Lead and assist senior staff in planning and overseeing field explorations, construction projects, laboratory testing, design and analysis of shallow and deep foundations for highway and/or bridges and major hydraulic structures, stability and seepage analyses of earthen embankments, settlement estimates, lateral earth pressure assessments for retaining walls, and ground improvement assessments for complex sites. Working in a team environment providing geotechnical engineering services. Lead geotechnical engineering and/or project manager for engineering projects for a wide variety of engineering projects for road and bridges related project. Lead and assist senior staff in executing geotechnical engineering projects from the preliminary stage, to planning and directing the field program, through data analysis and detailed design, to reporting and delivering solutions to MoPW related projects. Providing technical direction to junior staff. Assist senior staff in managing our regional office relationships, including road and bridge projects development to expand the scope of our existing services. Evaluating and applying engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to assist in geoengineering design, data analysis of geotechnical investigations, construction engineering and project management. Carry out detailed engineering analysis, design and reporting for infrastructure and transportation projects. Conduct field investigations, site investigations, remediation, compliance and preparation of technical logs and reports. Coordination and liaison with field staff assigned MoPW related section and regional offices. Project coordination, management and geotechnical related execution tasks. Field inspections including footing, subgrade, compaction and excavation works, Preparation of laboratory samples and coordination with other MoPW geotechnical and analytical laboratories. Any other assignment as required by the supervisor.
