A lecturer in nutrition will have commitment in the realization of EU nutrition project, A lecturer in nutrition should report to the Cheif of Nutrition Department of the respective institution, A lecturer in nutrition would be accountable to Kabul Medical University, While the lecturer teach and work at the Department of Nutrition, KMU, she when needed shall travel for short assignments out of Kabul. Other Duties As a member of Curriculum Group she shall participate actively in all its meetings to help revised current curriculum, She shall participate in all capacity building workshops and short courses, She will cooperates in teaching of nutrition in other departments at KMU, She will commit to teach nutrition to students of KMU for years to come for the intended outcome of the nutrition, She participate in the development of monthly and annual plan, She shall submit monthly report to the Nutrition Department at KMU. Objectives of the Nutrition Department in KMU To train qualified nutrition experts of a national and regional level To train nutritionists equipped with the knowledge to provide nutrition services to the Afghan public in hospitals, clinics and other health centers To help capacity building of nutrition institutions in provinces and in Kabul To train qualified personnel for the Afghan Ministry of Public Health To help train qualified personnel to act as nutrition counselors in Afghanistan’s provinces To train researchers to conduct scientific research on nutrition to enable the government of Afghanistan to provide accurate data and policy on nutrition To help raise awareness of issues surrounding nutrition in Afghan society in an effort to lower morbidity among newborns, young children and new mothers, and promote appropriate nutrition practices.
