Job Description: Investone Corps Inc (ICI) is recruiting an output oriented Inventory Controller responsible for all the group of company’s inventory/assets related activities. The incumbent is liable for the valuation and management of the various inventory items and their proper record maintenance and reporting for inclusion in the consolidated financial statements of the groups monthly/quarterly/semiannual and yearly financial and management reports. The Inventory Controller is expected to have practical knowledge of determining economic order quantity and also able to determine the optimum level of inventory for the group of companies to be distributed through all the distributed channels. The position also requires to have updated information regarding the prices of the inventory items in the markets and its comparison with the net realizable value of inventories for identifying the level of obsolete and computation of provisions for each category of inventory items. Have practical knowledge of applying the International Accounting Standards to classes and categories of assets. Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets. Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system and maintain fixed asset register. Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed. Conduct periodic reviews of the fixed asset schedule to determine dispositions. Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries and to run depreciation for all fixed asset Assist in the preparation of budgets and reconcile the specific general ledger accounts. Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures Have in depth knowledge of inventory valuation practices Know to apply revaluation and cost model to various businesses requirements Devise ways for identification of economic order quantity Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers Maintain properly coordination with finance department and submit monthly, quarterly and annually inventory reports and other specific reports as directed by finance director.
