Job Description: Responsible for implementing BPHS (Basic Package of Health Services), CME (Community Midwifery Education) and CHNE (Community Health Nursing Education) Programs in line with MoPH (Ministry of Public Health) and AKHS, A standards and guidelines in Badakhshan Province. Provide overall leadership, professional and management support, performing quality control and monitoring in accordance with the defined guidelines to AKHS, A regional teams. Coordinate BPHS program activities with Provincial Health Directorate, partner NGOs and attend Provincial Health Coordination Committee (PHCC) meetings and keep all the updated MOPH policy documents. Work closely with Aga Khan Foundation (AKF, A) Badakhshan regional team to ensure support and functioning of all joint activities like Security, Finance and HR Policies. Prepare annual budgets for the regional programmes, monitor and check regular expenditure and submit to National Program Office. Coordinate with Faizabad Provincial Hospital in Badakhshan on all aspects of health service delivery in Badakhshan. Develop and implement innovative methods of improving community health programme efficiency with community involvement. Initiate and implement capacity building programs for Regional Health Program Officers (RHPOs) in taking on larger responsibilities of the programs. Support AKHS, A Outreach teams and cluster supervisors including Sub Centers in improving quality of Community Health Programme. Support “In-Service Refresher Training Activities” among provincial health teams/ Staffs Work closely with Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) regional agencies and represent AKHS, A at Local AKDN Forum meetings. Provide administrative and technical support to the Regional Programme Offices in Faizabad and Khorogh. Any other duty assigned by the AKHS-A Manager, Community Health Programs.
