Job Description: Position Objective: Regional officer assists in developing and managing dispense capacity development programmes components of HID/SNG under the direct guidance and close coordination with immediate supervisor. Fully participate in implementing the activities allocated in Yearly Planning Operation. The holder of position closely follow up the progress, data management, reporting and facilitating of ACCESS projects activities with government in Bamyan and Parwan districts under coverage of AKF. Core Responsibilities and Duties: Assessment of capacity building needs of targeted District Governor Offices (DGOs) and Provincial Line Departments (PLDs). Ensure Timely implementation of SNG activities at district level Track and maintain records of all implemented activities through development proper formats and data base. Write quality reports (monthly, quarterly, biannually and annually), and ensure that the YPO timeline is met. Support Aga Khan Foundation –Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Unit on monitoring and evaluation of implemented activities. Follow up and document best practices of Sub-National Governance in Bamyan and Parwan provinces and present success stories based success projects and activities. Coordinate with AKF- procurement department for providing training materials and required equipment. Collaborate and maintain good relations with AKF other sectors and ensure the core objectives of SNG are understood. Present SNG in the official meetings and give a full picture of value added in the field through this programme. Develop pre and post training assessment forms in close coordination with MERL unit. Conduct and facilitated capacity building programs at district and provincial level for government staff. To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to protecting children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy Occasional Significant Duties: To be able to create and learn new initiatives for improving good governance, e-governance and public services at district level by government Closely work with other AKF- HID staff. To carry out other duties as entrusted by the management for the interest of organization and program. Decision – Making & Authority: To contribute to the regular program review and planning. If any administration issues come up contact with supervisor. Strives to develop and maintain good professional working relationship with colleagues to promote team work. Abide by the official rules, regulation and discipline as obligatory by the HR/ organizational policies.
