Objective of the Position:

Ensure high quality and timely completion of different Infrastructure works under-taken by AKF.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Frequently visit project sites for monitoring and supervision and prepare report.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Regional teams in construction management (work planning, quality control and record keeping).
  • Provide overall guidance on the selection of appropriate technical options, and ensure applicable and reliable quality control systems to maintain & improve performance of projects.
  • Represent NPO Engineering in Bid evaluation as Bid evaluation team member.
  • Provide training to site engineers on Quality Control and work planning
  • Participate in key strategic planning and budget preparation meetings related to infrastructure development.
  • Any other relevant task assigned by Program Director and National Engineering Manager.
  • To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to protecting children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.

Occasional Significant Duties:

  • Coordinate and keep professional relations with project partners and relevant Government institutions.
  • Represent AKF Engineering team in meetings with donors or concern institutions if required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from reputed Engineering institute.   Master degree in construction management or other engineering field or good knowledge in structural design will be an advantage.
  • Should be able to operate MS office, AutoCAD   ,
  • At least 5 Years of experience in international and local NGO’s in engineering construction and management.
  • Should have a good English language skill
  • Should have good communication Skill
  • Extensive travel outside Kabul.
