Job Description: Context and Objective The Senior Electrical Engineer has to provide the capability within MEW in the area of developing and managing the supervision, monitoring, and testing of all electrical plants, equipment, transmission and distribution systems and the various zone’s substations. The Electro-Technical Expert will be responsible for all the above objectives and plans and will be working closely with the Project managers. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate safety measures between live components in operation and components under construction. Giving advice and when required training to the EA on safety planning and safety measures. Review the as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals. To be responsible for the overall implementation of the contract in accordance with GoA procedures and regulations; To be responsible for the completeness, and quality and timely submission of project reports Monitor projects progress and take action to address shortcomings; Assist in negotiating with the contractors on the implementation of activities as per the contractual requirement. Collect all data and reports of the progress of work and issue to the progress report. Conducting regular project related site visits and inspections. Inspection, review, and approval of contractor’s works provided material and equipment’s on-site according to the contractual specification and design. Review and approval of contractor’s invoices. Reporting directly to Directorate of Monitoring on Energy Projects Implementation Any other task as assigned by the line manager(s).
