Job Description: Job Purpose: Child protection officer will work closely with senior child protection officer to deliver the project activities and ensure that the project objective achieves through regular implementation-appropriate monitoring and supervision in the project target areas. Protection Assistants are responsibility to provide supports to the Protection Officer to ensure that the DRR- FSL and protection activities related to OFDA programming is implementing in the province. Protection Assistant is responsible for conducting baseline & end line survey by the support MEAL Unit and technical project staff for the IDPs, returnees sites affected communities The main purpose of this job is to finally bring a positive behaviour changes in CP and GBV of the targeted populations / beneficiaries and design and implement the all protection activities to this grant in collaboration with the SC senior officers and project staff. Key Accountabilities: Assist the protection officer in supervision and monitoring of Child Protection / project activities, conducting trainings and implementation of project plan at community and provincial level as well government departments at local setting. Assist the Protection Officer in managing and supervising all logistical requirements for the implementation of the Child Protection Programs. Identify and support the project staff in preparing training syllabus and professional capacity building of officers, supervisor and partners (communities and government). Assist the project manager and protection officer in coordinating all protection activities with community leaders and the district and provincial departments of (P-ANDMA) child protection related issues and activities. To help the protection officer in preparing reports with statistical and narrative information on the UNCRC and child protection project in the target communities, which conduct by the project officer, supervisors, field staff and project groups. Assist the protection officer and the team by working close in collaboration with other SC staff in the target areas – develop joint work plans and action plans. Promote sense of child protection development according to UNCRC and CP mandate and directives. · To help/ and coordinate the implementation of the projects - assist/ and cooperate the project officers, coordinator, supervisors of partner and monitor the expected result and activities of the projects. To support all steps of program lesson learning workshop where lessons learned from the projects are shared, recommendation on how to streamline and integrate activities are carried out and developed. To help the project officers and coordinator in developing the project MEAL tools and questionnaire including the field test tools and techniques and training materials/ modules. Weekly and monthly base comprehensive reporting to the project manager/ and protection officer. To assist the team in conducting baseline and end line processing and update data entry/ information that reflects and prioritize the situation and scale on ground/ need assessments. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Response to children’s protection needs in emergency situation and identifying of child protection gaps. Provide support for CP Officers on basic Psychosocial Support (PSS) to disaster affected children through establishment of Child Friendly Spaces (CFSs) in the target areas. Arranging training material and conducting the workshop training according to the requirement of the project. Help the CP Officers for establishing and strengthening child protection committees/system in the communities and school levels. To build up common awareness and mobilize communities in supporting Protection programs. Establishing and maintaining good relationship with stakeholders and community and creating an environment that community feel ownership. Ensuring a clear and pragmatic reporting and referral system of alleged abuse. To collect update data of the project on weekly and monthly basis to prepare monthly reports. Provide support to communities and team members, when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
